Wow its been a while....but not quite a year!!!

I often find myself thinking that I need to really update my blog...but do I get to it, nope. I haven't really done anything all that grand lately. But I thought I would put some pictures of some of the fun things I have done.

A new interest of mine is watching Basketball. For those of you that really know me well know that I have pretty much hated sport my whole life. I think that it could be because I grew up the only girl with three brothers and they all loved sports, and I couldn't just go with the flow, so I never have gotten in to them, in fact I would grumble if my brothers(or my mom) wanted to watch them. But that has changed this took place after the first Utah Jazz game I went to. It was so much fun being in all the excitement of the arena that I just feel in love with it and then started watching pretty much every game. Well at least when I wasn't in class.(Stupid school always gets in the way)

This summer I have already made four visits to the falls, I just love them.

Spudman.....oh yes I did it!!!!

Well I know that it has been forever since I last posted.....what can I say I'm just not that great at posting. But I have been staying busy and have a great summer. One goal that I had set for myself was to do Spudman this summer. I have been training for almost a year, and the day finally came. Friday, the night before I went and checked in, got my bike all set up went to the Carbo overload dinner......and then came home and said to my Mom "what have I gotten myself in to?" No really I was excited and nervous at the same time. So I made sure that I went to bed early Friday night, which worked a little until I got a few phone call's and text's. (Next year turn phone off.) Then Saturday morning.......................And so it began.

This picture was taken about 9 minutes before I started......What do you think do I look scared? I sure was, the swimming part scared me the most so I was really nervous.
Getting all ready
Just about to start...........Can you tell which one is me?
And so it began......right before the we started on guy said "I apologize to everyone I touch" it was crazy because everyone had there hand and feet everywhere and where climbing over each other. I thought that I would freak out a little with all the people around, but I did pretty good.
Then came the bike. I used my mountain bike because I didn't want to pay the money for a new bike, just in case I decided I didn't like it. So I started off and at two miles out my pedal started to get loose which causes me to stop a few times and try to fix it with my had. Well it didn't work and at about mile 4 or 5 it fell off......yup that right I lost my pedal. Some really nice guy helped me fix it and I went on my way.
The broken pedal set me back a little bit but I still finished. This picture is of me telling my family I made it past the bike.(Next year I get my self a good bike.)
Then came the run, I didn't run as much would have liked to, but I made it to the finish line.(Next year I buy new shoes more in advance.)

YES!!!!!!!!!!!

New Years Eve

This year for New Year I continued the tradition of bringing in the New Year at the 15 Stake Young Single Adult Bash. The snow tried to scare us from going but we didn't want to miss a opportunity to PARTY!!!!

Before the Party we went to one of my favorite restaurants.....Chile's

At the party there were many different activity that we could do. We made sure that we did most of the.

Darts.......I was not so good, in fact I think that I only got one on the board!
Ya, like I said I was not so good. Guitar Hero/Rock Band

Dancing!!!!
Boxing

This is my Rocky Face!!!

And the main reason that I wanted to go was to ride the Bull. The past two year when I have gone to the same party I always want to ride the Bull but I end up chickening out. This year I decided it was the year and I would not chicken out. So I over come my fear and road the Bull!

The night was a lot of fun. What a great way to start a New Year!!!!

Goals!

Tonight at FHE we were asked to make goal for the upcoming year, we were also asked to write them down. That way we are more accountable for the goal we set and we will be able to remember them throughout the year. For those of you that know me well know that I’m not a big fan of making New Year’s Resolutions, mainly because I think that goals should be made all the time and if I were to always wait for the New Year then I would never accomplish any. On the other hand I am going to follow the advice we were given tonight and write down goals of mine and hold myself accountable for them, I’ll just call then something other than New Year’s Resolutions.

It will be called, goals that will help me be the person I want to be. I know it sound lame and ya it is a little lame but oh well.

1. Increase my scripture studies. I seem to always have a rollercoaster effect in my scripture reading. I will do really good and then fall and then do well again. I’m hoping by making this my #1 goal I will do better and become a better person.

2. Write in my journal more. I’ve never been good at writing in my journal that is why I love blogging.(even if I don’t do it all that often) I will try I be a little more consistent, some post may be boring to others, and those post will mainly be for me.

3. This goal has been a goal of mine for a while now and I’ve been working on it for over six months now. This is to do the Spudman triathlon in July 2010. This goal is one that will also have many different small goals that I will be working on daily.

These are just a few goals that I have chosen to set for myself to become a better person. I’m sure that I will add to this list and who know could even change the one’s I have set. But I think by writing them down I will be more accountable to myself and others to achieve them. Wish me luck!!!!

I was looking through my pictures and realized that I've done a lot and haven't posted about any of it. This post is going to be really long, sorry but at least there are some fun pictures. :) Too finish the summer Lisa and I drove to California and spent a week there hanging with her family. It was a lot of fun. This is us at David Archuleta concert.

Trail of 100 giants.
Wow that tree makes me look small.
The Beach!! I love the Beach I want to move to the beach.
The coolest drink...we got on the beach in L.A.
Over the summer I had started running and believe it or not I really enjoy it....I've kinda become addictive. I one of my goal that I set is to participate in Spud man next year. Spud man is a 1.5K swim a 40K bike and a 10K run. So I decided that I should start running in some 5K, I did my first one in September. I loved it, I still have a lot to work on, and a long way to go before Spud man.

Temple Trip.

My friends and I have stared going to different restaurants to eat and then we play the best game ever "Hand and Foot" hence the next few picture.

I also went skeet Shooting for the first time....who knew it was going to be so much fun, I even hit one or two. I had a bruise the next day, but it was so worth it.

For Halloween we decided to have a party we dressed up and just messed around.

Well that's what I've been up to, oh and yes school started again so that keeps me pretty busy.
